Who we are

The Aurora Wellness Retreat, Prested Chase, Feering, Essex CO5 9EE. We are the data controller for anything you send us through this site. To ask about your data, call or WhatsApp 07923 604846.

What we collect, and why

The enquiry form. When you send an enquiry we receive your name, phone number, email address, what you are interested in, any dates or guest numbers you give us, your message, and how you would like us to reach you. We use these to reply to you and to plan your visit. That is all. The form is delivered to us by Netlify, the company that hosts this site.

Opening news and offers. If you give us your email address to hear about our opening, or tick the box on the enquiry form, we add you to our mailing list, which is run for us by Mailchimp. You can unsubscribe with the link in any email, and we will not add you to the list unless you have asked.

Your browser's memory. The site remembers on your own device whether you have closed our enquiry pop-up, so it does not keep reappearing. Nothing about that is sent to us.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use this site, for example which pages are visited and how many people tap to book, call or WhatsApp us. It uses cookies to tell visits apart, and the information is grouped and does not tell us who you are. We keep it for 14 months. You can block these cookies in your browser settings, or use Google's opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept while we are dealing with them and for up to twelve months afterwards, in case you come back to us. Mailing list details are kept until you unsubscribe.

Who else sees it

Netlify (hosting and form delivery) and Mailchimp (our mailing list) process your details on our behalf. Both are based in the United States and work under the standard safeguards for transfers from the UK. We do not sell or share your details with anyone else.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call or WhatsApp 07923 604846 and we will sort it out. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
